The easy action is a great confidence builder for novice casters. The extra tip is a bonus. I would recommend this rod to a friend and maybe even buy another one in a different weight.

This rod was purchased for hiking into mountain lakes, and the 4 piece design makes packing a breeze. I have been flyfishing for 8 years and I will look for another Targus in a 3 weight. This rod is very lightweight and casts well. Moreover, it comes with an extra tip section in case breakage occurs. Overall, I am happy with the price and performance.
