By Casual day-trecker from Southern CA on 10/26/2009 Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: First time out, shoes were okay, a bit stiff but no real problems. Second time out, got rubbing and blister on ankles. Never had this problem with other hiking shoes. Bought the same shoes for my daughter. She had the same problem. We returned both pairs and will try another brand.

By kcindivide from Divide, Colorado on 10/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, No break in needed, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have pretty sensitive feet and these shoes were great right out of the box! I walk in the National forest every day with my dogs 2-4 miles, shoes are great on loose gravel and uneven terrain. I am surprised at the affordable price. They are not water proof, so I don't wear them in wet conditions.
By Cowtown from Sacramento, CA on 10/20/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love them! I got them to keep my feet dry when I walk my 3 dogs through wet grass and fields and in the rain. I've already tried them out and they're completely waterproof and have great traction, which you need when your dogs are pulling at their leashes. They are light-weight enough to run in. My only problem is my right ankle bone is sore but this could be due to my bony ankle.

By DMF from San Dimas, CA on 08/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these because I fell in love with their little sisters, the Pagora for women that are not waterproof, which are extremely comfortable and did not need any break-in (I own 3 pairs, 2 got at ST). So I ordered the waterproof boots too hoping for the same craftsmanship but they were too small and tight. I returned them to get the 1/2 size bigger and they fit right. I have only worn them in the house for half a day and they wear comfortably enough for me to keep them despite they are a bit warm. Although I cannot wear higher boots which feel very constrictive on my ankles, I do like the support these mid boots offer. Overall satisfied. I got the Tan/Lox and they are so good-looking! They feel solid and stable but supple at the same time as the foot flex with no problem when stepping forward. I wish I could provide a more detailed comment about outdoor performance but I have not tried these boots on a trail yet. I live in So. California and they are a bit warm for our summer weather.
By Vacation Girl from Indiana on 07/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these shoes to wear on our Yellowstone/Grand Tetons vacation instead of my regular tennis shoes. These hiking shoes were very comfortable - my feet did not hurt at the end of the day. The shoe size was also very true to my size feet. I was also glad for hiking shoes as they had more traction then tennis shoes.
