Standard Columbia Quality, Great Price! By mike from Racine, WI. on 09/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Water Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Many Hikers I've tried feel "cheap" and uncomfortable as soon as you try them on. I have bought Columbia hikers the last 4 pairs, was a little hesitant to buy online, but true to form, these felt great from the moment I stepped into them.
By Westbound Bob from Columbia, MD on 08/04/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered a 1/2 size larger than normal which turned out to be right. The shoes felt comfortable when I put them on. I did feel discomfort in my right ankle (Talus) bone after walking several miles. The left shoe feels great and it could just be my problem right foot. Only had them a few weeks so I'll just wait and see.
GREAT Shoe For The Money!! By Spitz1 from London, KY on 07/31/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, No break in period, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Cold weather, Day hikes, Wet Weather, Work and Play Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Ok, I was a bit skeptic to begin with about this shoe mainly due to its price. Lets face it, if the shoe is expensive it must be good right? Wrong. I went ahead and bought this shoe and a pair of [$] Lafuma's to see which was better. Needless to say, I am writing this review and this shoe fits the bill. Better support, durability in materials, overall comfort, the whole 9 yards, I seriously doubt you can find many other mid-high trail shoes with this quality at this price. I have yet to do any serious outdoor work on these pups, but I will be sure to abuse them and get my money's worth. If you are skeptic like me about these shoes, buy them, try them on, you'll keep em.

By Minnesota Pete from California on 07/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have no idea how to anticipate how durable these shoes will be, having just bought them, but they are comfortable. There is a good bit of room in the toe box, and they are fairly breathable. They provide decent support, but are not rugged or stiff enough to do any serious hiking. They are great for everyday wear, indoors and outdoors.
By Upstate Hiker from Clemson, SC on 07/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I hike on a regular basis with my wife, and these shoes are better than any hiking boots I've ever owned. If you like more ankle support, they aren't for you, but for a trail hiker/runner in a fairly wet climate they are perfect.
