By cold feet from Union, ME on 11/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Plowing on the tractor Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It hasn't been cold enough to need these, but I am awaiting the blowing snow so that I can slip them on and fire up the tractor. They appear to have good attention to detail. My son has the nylon upper version, which would be fine but I wanted a one time purchase, something to last many future seasons and these appear to be right. The boot is bulky and stiffer than I anticipated but I haven't had winter boots in years and so I can't really compare them to anything except leather work boots.

Very High Quality & toasty warm By phatoldsun from NE Ohio on 11/02/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These look great and are very warm and comfortable. The leather and rubber are top notch. They are very comfortable despite the wight and bulk. I wear a 9.5 usually and ordered a 10 (9 or 10 only sizes available) are I wish they were a half size smaller. They fit perfect with thick, winter weight socks, but they arer so warm that thick socks may make them too hot. I may add an insert to take up some of the extra space. They are heavy but not too the extreme. As long as your winter activities do not require fast walking, these are perfect for any conditions you want to expose yourself too.
Cold weather boot built to last By maryknapper from Rangely Co. on 11/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Bought to replace Sorel Caribou boot which lasted for twenty years. The removable felt inner liners are easily replaced, extra sock layers are not needed. Used for winter hiking through deep snow, snowshoeing, and in mud season when slipping and water crossings can be a real problem.
