They will be perfect for the soon-to-come Chicago winter. They are super comfortable, and even cuter! Also, I saw them at an upscale shoe boutique for double the price. Ha ha, jokes on them....
By scatterbrained law student from Denver, CO on 10/12/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A good look, are lightweight, and are super comfortable to walk around all day in. The only major con is that even with the side zipper (which only creates more room in the shaft instead of creating an open slit), they can take a little time to get on...once you get your leg into it, you've got to adjust/tighten the laces and such. Overall though, a cool pair of boots that I'd recommend. Oh, and if you're running around in the rain/snow, when entering a building, wipe your feet...I almost busted my butt wearing these the other day, though I just walked (carefully) back over to the entry mat to wipe the snow off mine, then they had good traction again.
By Kimber01 from Evergreen, CO on 10/05/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Too much of a military look. The color is very drab and the fit is not stylish. I returned them for a more updated, stylish look.
So cute I don't want to hike in them! By Kristal Rose from New Jersey on 10/01/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use these boots for long hikes in rocky terrain and they are working out very well for me :) ...relatively light weight for how tall they are, comfortable even after a long day, and super warm, if anything, almost too warm. I'd rather that than frozen toes though ;) ... Also, the look greattttt on! They have an equestrian-esque feel...Excellent!
They're as cool as they look! By The busy student from Denver, CO on 09/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: They are extremely lightweight, comfortable, and warm. For big feet like mine (I wear size 10), a regular concern with flat boots is that they'll make my feet look bulky/bigger....not so with these boots!
They're fairly easy to get on...there is a side zipper, however it just creates more room in the shaft (as opposed to actually zipping the shaft open)....other than that small issue, would highly recommend! Images shared by: The busy student
By imelda from ny on 09/28/2009 Pros: Good Traction, Stylish Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are beautiful, but you cannot get them on! I have slender feet and still cant get them on....even loosening the laces!
This is a defect and must be why they are so cheap. I love Sierra and almost never have problems...but these are not wearable! Sending them back.
