I'm not sure what you'd use these for... maybe over your swim bottoms? The material felt like it would chafe if you were sweating and working out in them. Love the brand but will never buy these again, I returned them.

These are the best fitting yet! Not too short, not too long ... just right. Better construction than the last few years.

I personally wear them kayaking and hiking, but I can't think of any activity you can't wear them for. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the shorts don't have a liner/ built in underwear. But all in all, they're fantastic!
