Perfect cushion for a neutral runner. By BARTman from Waconia, MN on 08/06/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Pavement, Track Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have run in Brooks for 8 years. This model is slightly snug - I still ordered my regular size and fits OK. I only have about 15 miles on them, but so far they are wonderful. Great cushion without feeling like a pillow. My last pair was Asics Gel Nimbus, but I'm switching back to Brooks since they seem to have better mid-foot cushion. I had knee soreness for a long time with the Asics that finally disappeared when I went back to a worn out pair of Brooks Glycerins before these arrived. I learned my lesson - Brooks rock!
Second time I have bought this product By Chris from Arlington, VA on 07/27/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stable Best Uses: Pavement, Track Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are excellent shoes. I have previously had a pair that I ran until I wore them out, and then ordered a second pair. The shoes are comfortable, well-cushioned, and hold up well over a great deal of work and abuse.
By Mopar from Hermiston, OR on 07/24/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Breathable, Comfortable, Flexible, Good Traction, Lightweight Best Uses: Gym, Pavement, Track, Treadmill Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Best thing I've done for my aching feet in a long time. The extra cushioning is what my heels needed on the treadmill.
Another quality Brooks running shoe By Dave from Wooster, OH on 06/29/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've worn then Brooks Adrenaline GTS for several years and quite frankly have not found a better shoe in which to train . As my arch/foot strike calls for a stability or cushioned shoe, I decided to give the defyance a try and was very pleased; not as much support as the GTS, but certainly enough for a mild over-pronator and sufficient cushioning as well.
By C'ville Runner from Charlottesville, VA on 06/24/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Good light shoe for road training. Similar feel to the Adrenaline GTS with regard to fitting around feet. Not as much support as the GTS has for runners who need a stability shoe.
By siumillers from Peoria, IL on 06/17/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I weigh 235 lbs and was hoping these shoes would provide the cushioning and shock absorbtion that I needed while running. They bottomed out when I tried them on. I need more cushionng and shock absorbtion than this shoe provided. It's hard to find a shoe for heavy runners. A good shoe but just not enough cushioning for me.
