By mmds from Austin, TX on 10/06/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Flexible, Lightweight Best Uses: Endurance Training, Running Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered 1/2 size larger than what I normally wear in a Brooks shoe and fit was perfect. Keep in mind that is a full size larger than what I wear in other brands of athletic shoes.
Very comfortable, run small! By Schnauzer Walker from Bozeman, MT on 10/06/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Running, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes definitely DO RUN SMALL so take the advice to upsize. If you wear thinner socks, 1/2 size up will do. Heavy socks should go up a full size. I almost always wear a 7 1/2M, so I ordered an 8M in this shoe. I'm very glad I did. They are a perfect fit, with not a lot of extra room at all. If I wear them with heavier socks, they will be slightly snug. I like the way they feel when walking. They really give you a "push" with the design of the sole. Very nice, comfortable shoe. Plenty of cusion. These have a nice amount of support (I do not have pronation problems, but weak ankles), and feel good on knees and legs. Ankles are feeling better, too.
Brooks is a great running shoe. By Gym Rat Mama from Prescott, AZ on 10/05/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Lightweight, Machine washable Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great shoe, my 3rd pair of Brooks -- I'm using it for a 1/2 marathon, and it was comfortable first time I trained in it. I also use it for strength workouts and ellyptical training in the gym. As reviews say, order a half-size bigger, or your toes will be cramped. I have custom orthotics that I insert, so cannot say how the arch support is without them. The only issue I have had is a decorative strap that goes down over the little toe area. Depending on how tightly the shoe is tied, it could rub a blister. I've already thrown them in the washer because of dirty trail running and they come out great.
By i run fast from georgia on 10/01/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flexible, Lightweight Best Uses: Endurance Training, Pavement, Running Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are the best shoes yet! Order half a size up. They are very light and flexible. A heavier runner may need to put inserts in because the padding is a bit thin especially on longer runs
