By busymom from Des Moines, Iowa on 10/28/2009 Cons: Causes Hotspots or Blisters Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels full size too small Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots (black) look nice but ran very small and narrow. In my usual size (6 1/2), I couldn't even get my foot in it. Also, the heel seemed very stiff and wasn't the right shape for my foot. They had to be returned, so I can't comment on performance. They seemed like they would be good boots, especially for the price, if only they could be tried on first.
By The Virge from Ashland, OR on 10/27/2009 Cons: Too Stiff, Uncomfortable Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, High-end shopper Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The heel/counter portion felt like it was made of plastic. The boots themselves looked great and they were wide enough at the calf. I couldn't imagine them ever becoming comfortable, however. Had to return.
By Carolyn from Waco, Tx on 10/26/2009 Best Uses: Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The leather on these looks good, and the boot conforms well to my calf. I have long leg muscles, so I don't bulk the way some others do, but they fit without gapping. There's a well-covered elastic for someone with a wider calf. The shank is a bit tight (and I have a narrow foot), but I expect it to stretch. While the arch support feels minimal, I have had no pain so far. I like the look and have no trouble walking in them.
A note: someone with a wider foot might want to order a size up, or look for something with a more generous top and shank.
By Comfort oriented from Pasadena, CA on 10/23/2009 Cons: Too Stiff, Uncomfortable Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The boots looked nice, but the leather was stiff and seemed likely to cause blisters quickly. I ordered my normal size of 8.5 and they were 1/2 to 1 full size small. Returned the boots. Because of the stiff leather, not risking reordering a larger size.
By STP shopper from Wapato, WA on 09/17/2009 Pros: Beautiful detail, Comfortable, Cute, Durable, Stable, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are very beautiful boots. I ordered 1 size larger after reading some of the reviews, but it was too big so I retured the boots for an exchange to a size smaller. I look forward to wearing them this fall/winter. They are comfortable and has simple, yet elegant design.
By OrneryUrchin from Long Valley, NJ on 09/08/2009 Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish, Trendy Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was looking for a pair of comfortable boots and these will fit the bill. I haven't worn them much but definitely will once it gets cold. They fit my calf perfectly which is nice. Seem to be very comfortable..which will be great for walking any distance. Again, Sierra Trading Post has gained 5 STARS in my books...great price and value! Thanks!
Nice boots, inconsistent sizing By raingirl from Portland, OR on 09/07/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered two pair of these boots, one in brown in size 8 (my usual size) and one in black in size 8.5, since previous comments indicate they run small. The brown size 8 fit well, and I kept them. The black size 8.5 felt as tight or tighter than the brown 8, with one foot feeling smaller than the other. I had hoped both colors would work for me, but I decided not to take a chance on reordering the black since the sizing seems inconsistent. The calf size is larger than most boots I've tried, which for me is a positive. I evidently have large calves for a size 4-6 female.

By rez runner from fort defiance, AZ on 08/26/2009 Best Uses: Going Out, Office Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was influenced by the early reviews saying these boots run small, so I ordered a 9, when I usually wear an 8.5. The 9 is a half to full size too big on me, so I'm guessing they run true to size. These are really comfortable and easy to walk in. I was looking to replace my fine Italian leather dress boots, and while I like these boots, they don't have the distinct look of fine leather. Even though they are real, they appear much like vinyl to me. I would wear them and enjoy them, but they are not as dressy as I wanted.
