They were intended to be used for snow and hiking, but he likes them so much, he's taken to wearing them to work. The green is a funky, beautiful color.
Don't let the color fool you! By Sawdust from Philidelphia on 12/21/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Comfortable, Good Arch Support, Great Traction, No Break-in, Water Resistant Cons: Not Durable/ Wears Easily Best Uses: Everyday, Light Loads, Long-Distance Hiking, Tree climbing Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer, Casual/Recreational, Professional/Guide Sizing: Feels true to size Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I use this boot for climbing trees. They have a very comfortable feel, almost like they are not there. They have a nice toe stiffness for grabbing those small points. Waterproof is a must and these are just that.
The main concern is going to be durability. Although they do look nice(besides the color I have, foliage)there may be too much extra design to have them look the way they do. Also, the tongue needs to be a little longer to hold the final tie on the laces or just lose the top eyelet.
So far these boots are very comfortable and perform their job well.

I like this boot so much that I ordered a 2nd pair the next day !

good boot for the sierra price. By JR from WI on 10/29/2009 Pros: Ankle Support, Arch Support, Great Traction, Sturdy/Durable, Warm, Water Resistant Best Uses: Day Hiking, Everyday, Light Loads Describe Yourself: Casual/Recreational Sizing: Feels half size too big, Feels too large Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear work out side in all conditiions and spend most of my free time in the out doors. This is my 4th pair of Aslo boots, last pair were the FSN goretex. These boots fit true in length but feel a bit wide in the toe box. Other than that, just another great pair of boots you expect to get from Aslo..
