Never needs batteries and won't accidentally cut you. Small size makes it convenient.
By John from Albany , New York on 10/18/2009 Cons: Not easy to operaterings Describe Yourself: Clean Shaven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: THe two rings used to operate the device are to close together making it difficult to operate.
Frankly if I was not leaving in 24 hours for Europe I would probably return it. It is too expensive for the purpose.
By Hairy Nose from Lehigh Valley, PA on 09/15/2009 Pros: Controllable, Easy to clean, Gets into small spaces, No half dead batteries Describe Yourself: Clean Shaven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have three other battery trimmers. All three have a set of tiny stamped stainless steel blades spinning about in a stamped SS head. Those trimmers cut some hairs but not as well as the Groom mate. One look at the business end of the Groom Mate and you can see that the design and construction result in a fine cutting instrument. The small head seems glide into "those" spaces. First use came the day after using my favorite battery trimmer. When I was finished with the Groom Mate it was full of hair!!! Nuff said?
By A picky buyer from Fairfax, CA on 08/11/2009 Pros: No batteries, No pulling of hairs, Precision instrument, Safe, Stainless steel Describe Yourself: Beard Wearer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: High quality German product. Close tolerances. Cuts without pulling hair. Safe. Manual, which I like -- no replacing batteries. I can highly recommend it. My guess is this product would last forever....

Read the fine print, manually powered By Teo Fabi from Saratoga Springs, NY on 07/27/2009 Best Uses: Special Occasions Describe Yourself: Clean Shaven Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was rather surprised when opened up the trimmer and realized there was no place to put a battery; I thought it was kind of small. I guess I somehow missed the fact that this trimmer is manually powered in the product description. However I was pleasantly surprised that it works very well, especially in the nasal passage. Not quite as good on ear hair. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and as a plus it's made in the USA.
By Sivdas from Lynchburg, VA on 06/18/2009 Cons: Does not work, Expensive Describe Yourself: Clean Shaven Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a cheap battery powered one that works. However, I thought this one might free me from having to use batteries. Being stainless steel, I thought it might work for years and years. Unfortunately, it doesn't work at all.
