These are the warmest boots ever!! By once again snow lover from Michigan on 11/08/2008 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I have a really bad circulation problem, so bad that my feet usually are numb within 20 minutes of being in the cold Michigan winters. By doglady from Upstate, NY on 10/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered these boots to wear while tracking my search and rescue dogs in upstate NY. I'm often outside for very long periods of time, so I thought these would be a great upgrade from my 15 year old Sorel Snow Lions. I'm sure the intrepid explorer would keep me warm, but they are HUGE and heavy and I can't imagine trudging through any amount of snow in them. I would be exhausted within minutes! I have a large foot (size 10/11) and when I first opened the box I was sure I accidentally ordered the men's version of the boot. When I put it on it was the right size the insulation just takes up a ton of volume. These are for serious cold weather, I'm thinking plains states, and even then you wouldn't need them for milder days.
