I don't find them tight in the crotch at all, as previously described. They are remarkably comfortable. They are a fashionable, feminine light workout pants - not good for serious running and certainly not for biking, but great for yoga, causal day at work or around town, and loafing around the house.

I even dress up in them because they look so great. They are also my preferred travel wear, lightweight, non-wrinkling, easy to wash on the road, quick dry. I've worn them on a Yangtze River cruise, in NYC, and everywhere I've been in between.

I don't think they're great for cycling, since they have full legs and no padding, but as a general workout pant - great!

Workout Pants? I think not. They seemed more like silky dress pants. The crotch was very snug and when you are exercising you need plenty of movement in your clothes.
