By Wild zoo Lady from SLC, UT on 08/21/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Durable, Good Cut, Lightweight, Versatile, Warm Best Uses: Daily Use, Outdoor Activities, Travel Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Sizing: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice coat. The description led me to believe that the coat itself would be lined. It isn't. It's like a duffel, with finished seams inside. But the wool-rayon blend is lighter and softer than pure wool would be. Good fit, flattering on. The liner works well as a light jacket. The coat did arrive very wrinkled. If the wrinkles don't hang out I'll have it steamed. Plan to wear this a lot when cold weather comes.
By Outdoor Girl from Fairbanks, AK on 08/17/2009 Cons: Not Warm, Poor Fit, Poor quality overall, Unattractive Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels too short Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This is the first time I've ever been disappointed by a Sierra Trading Post item. This coat was poorly constructed and of low-quality materials (except the buttons and zipper, which were nice). The wool layer is thin but stiff and uncomfortable. The pockets were badly sewn so that the coat bunched strangely around the hips. The sleeves were short and tight (and I've got scrawny arms). The liner was too bulky for the weight of the coat and did not fit well with the outer coat. The liner collar was stiff and jabbed me under the chin. To top it all off, the coat wasn't even very warm. Looks great in the picture on the website, but it's the worst coat I've ever tried on. Normally I've had good experiences with this brand, but not this time. Ah well, so it goes! Fortunately, it was easy to return; I'll just have to keep looking for a winter coat.
