Water was running down the sleeves of this jacket and over my hands. I thought I was in Seattle or Portland rain. I was TOTALLY dry underneath. This is one of the best purchases I have ever made.
You'll look like a walking pylon! A++ By John the Trudger from Bothell, WA on 12/27/2007 Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Cold Weather, Walking in the dark, Wet Weather Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm an avid walker, as I commute to work on foot. I purchased the 'Blaze Orange' Howling Wind fleece jacket, so that I would be more visible. Drivers do not look for pedestrians on their way to work or when leaving work, so if you're not visible, you're liable to get hit.
This jacket is very bright orange, just like a DOT pylon, which is why I bought it. It's obviously made for hunting, but it's terrific for walking in the dark, as no driver could possibly miss it.
- The jacket is very comfortable and warm, but is also wind resistant (haven't been out in the rain yet).
- It would be nicer if it had an inside/outside chest pocket for a radio or flashlight, etc.
- Arm-pit zippers are a +. Images shared by: John the Trudger
