Wanted to use with hiking and rain pants and others, all of which have elastic waists. Ad said works with a variety of pants, but box said specifically for Lowe Alpine pants. No way to use on elastic waist or buttons (typical outdoor pants), and very iffy with belt loops (an my clothes do NOT have belt loops anyway). The ad was quite deceptive. Save your money!
