This will be a great transitional coat as the weather gets cooler, since it's roomy enough for layering underneath. I thought that it would be a problem being unlined, but a lining would add bulk it doesn't need.
By mermaidgirl from Cape Cod MA on 09/17/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Versatile, Well Made Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Trendy/Stylish Dresser Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is indeed cut square, like a blanket, but subtle design elements raise it above duffle coat-type use. The large box check is on the diagonal, with some effort to match shapes in front, the pockets face front and so don't add bulk, texture is soft. I am a size 8 and bought Medium, described as size 8-10 which was way too big. Size Small (4-6) fits with room for a jacket underneath. shoulders fall slightly off the natural shoulder,l ength is mid-thigh. Not for really cold weather or hiking as it is unlined and zip is normal strength, not "sport" strength.
