Good quality, great price - ideal combo! By Ennyl from Michigan on 01/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Running errands, Walking the dog Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear 7-7.5 but I'm glad I ordered size 8. Fit my wide feet and wool socks comfortably-no pinching, no "wearing-in" period. A real treat.
First time wearing these boots in frigid midwest conditions proved to me that they were a good investment. I wear boot-cut jeans almost daily - these boots are too narrow at the calf to tuck jean bottoms in. However, the zipper opening is completely lined with a deep gusset - so I leave them unzipped to accommodate my jeans and my feet and lower legs still stay warm and dry. They are a wee bit difficult to take on and off, but they are lightweight, keep my feet warm and toasty and for Sorel boots they were a real bargain.
By snowfun from Iowa on 01/27/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these boots for shoveling snow, sledding and outside hikes. They are very comfortable and so far nothing to complain about. I wear and 8 1/2 and ordered that size, and it fits true to size. I do think that the ankle is a bit wider than need be, but that's not been too much of an issue. My pants fit over them easily or tucked in. I would recommend these boots to anyone. They are warm, light and very stylish.
