Cute shoe, and comfortable! It was quite comfortable, and looked good too (good enough, I decided, for casual Friday). The only thing I didn't like about this shoe is that it has no arch support, which is why I didn't give it 5 stars. I ordered my usual 8.5 and it seemed to fit perfectly, but if you want to wear socks with this shoe, you might want to order up.
I will buy this shoe again. I also need them to be closed toe and closed heel b/c I work in a lab, which really can limit choices. These shoes are GREAT! I can wear them with skirts, capri's and even shorts without them looking as "clunky" as Dansko clogs. I found them to be true to size (& I feel Merrels sometimes run big): I started with a 9 and jumped to a 10, which is my true size. My only 2 criticisms are 1) I'd like to see these in all leather becuase the chocolate nubuck is a bit more "cold weather", but that's just my personal issue. 2) I have the definite feeling that these shoes will start to get stinky b/c I typically do not wear socks or hose with my capris, skirts & shorts. So I'll deal with that if/when I have to. I highly recommend these shoes.
