Very comfortable. They have an inner liner with very gentle elastic bands around the legs. There were no issues when I wore the shorts the first time, but the edge of the liner/elastic rubbed between my slightly chunky thighs during a 5K and left a sore red spot. I'll probably still wear these in future races.

Lots of great colors to go with swim suits or tops. These are silky, substantial--and fun! Haven't had time to check for wear and repeated laundering, though. But Hind makes great stuff.
