By Ronke from Santa Monica, CA on 11/09/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight, No bugs Cons: Not Enough Pockets or Features Best Uses: Buggy hot places, Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am a bug magnet and when I garden in the summer I get eaten. I have used the Buzz-Off pants and shirts before and found they totally eliminated my need for repellent but gee, I was always afraid to wash them. These new Insect Shield Pants, with the nice airy strip and the 70-washings-proof repellent, should solve all my problems. Comfy too
By Busy mom from California, CA on 11/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: It is light and comfortable even it is too long for me as 5'2". I will keep it because I need insect shield clothing for future Hawaii trip
By Morning Moose from Palmdale, CA on 10/30/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I will use this product for backpacking. I like the idea of the air panels. Instead of convertible pants to shorts, the panels will be the cooling off tools. I also like the dark color as the dirt won't show so much after days on the trail.
Way too small! Order 2 sizes up ! By Roasting in Texas from San Antonio TX on 10/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Insect repelling, Lightweight Cons: 2 sizes too small, Short rise Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping, Hot and Humid Climate Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: 4stars because I normally wear a 6 in exofficio and an 8 was too small. Also the rise is shorter, but I need long rises in regular pants (exofficio's other pants I own had a naturally longer rise if they sit at true waist.) These sit below natral waist. I am returning for size 10 and I'll cut the size label out! :)
By Just Me from Michigan on 10/04/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Extremely lightweight and packable. Perfect for our trip to Africa!
Saved from mosquitoes in Borneo By mosquito-prone from brooklyn, ny on 09/10/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, dries quickly, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: If these pants were more stylish, they'd be perfect. The elasticized waist sits just at/below the bellybutton, and the legs are slightly tapered -- two details that would normally horrify me but in this case it's actually not so noticeable. They're sort of like scrubs, which is fine if you're camping or hiking or casually going around town. Pants this style sometimes come too narrow in the hips/butt area, but that was not the case here. I'm 5'4" and 120 lbs and the size 4 was a comfortable fit for walking/hiking (without being baggy or loose).
Good points: so many! The pants are very thin and light, have sturdy stitching, wick moisture, take up no space in the luggage, dry quickly, and saved my legs from mosquitoes while I was hiking in Borneo. The mesh strips definitely kept me cool.
By Novice from Westport, CT on 08/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Did not dry, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These pants were very comfortable but did not dry quickly. The seams and places where there was a double layer of fabric didn't dry quickly.
By nana from atlanta, ga on 08/18/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used these pants in Nicaragua and got no bug bites.
By attagirl1490 from tampa,fl on 08/17/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are VERY lightweight, ok color, attractive fit. These a great travel, hiking pants for warm weather. I am bringing to Galapagoes trip which has a weight restrictive policy.
By Foxpine from Los Angeles, CA on 08/11/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I purchased this product to use in hot and humid environments. It seems to work great so far. I love the vents but they do seem to go a little higher than I prefer. They dry amazingly fast which means I can travel light. I am in between sizes (12/14). I got these in a 14 and they are baggy. If it weren't for the riding, I would have gotten the size 12.
