Best yet, a great price.
By Pattycakes from San Diego on 06/02/2009 Pros: Durable, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Backcountry, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I own several pieces from North Face and they all fit a little on the large side. However, this one is even bigger but still fits OK. I really love the material and durability of this jacket. I have worn it in slightly cool misty weather and it was perfect. I intend to use it with fleece underneath in cooler weather for added warmth. LOVE it!

As outdoor gear has gone mainstream & products like The North Face have hit Main Street, the quality has been severely compromised. Shells, once made of thick durable materials have become less and less like winter weather gear & more and more like thin, pre/post season raincoats.
This shell lives up to 'the old days.' I've spent many moons looking for a good shell and I've found it!
