I was excited to use it. However it take forever to charge. Manual crank is there but imposible to charge. We brought once with us to our kayak trip, disappointed from lack of catching signal. then on the second camping trip, sadly to find out it is completely dead broken for no reason. But as i have found with most products imported from Asia, the instructions leave a lot to be desired. Very confusing.

Construction appears solid, the charger crank handle appears rugged. However, batteries are NiCad, and no voltage converter/charger is provided to charge from household outlets. Per the manual, it is impossible to charge fully by hand cranking. So, the ni-cads will develop "memory" limiting ability to hold a charge. Also, it will not be possible to leave the unit on stand-by around the house, to make use of the "weather alert" feature. Probably will have to search for a compatible charger and spend more money to get full use of the radio's features. Disappointing.
