Great looking boot wish calve was wider By Kay from Worcester, MA on 01/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Traction, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Cons: Difficult Entry & Exit Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the looks of the boot and they are waterproof which is what I was looking for. I only wish the calve was a little wider but you can fix that with the laces. Overall, they look great and you feel confident that you won't slip and fall in these boots.
By lynncan from ny on 01/20/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As this has been the coldest winter here in about 30 years, these boots have been great. I've been wearing them daily and they remain comfortable for walking around the city, to and from the train station (2 mi) and simply standing. Great boots.
By PK from IN on 01/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are Great! They are comfortable, very warm and very attractive. I wear anything from size 7 to size 8 depending on the shoe so I ordered a 7.5 in this boot and found it fits perfectly with winter weight socks.
By Misha lover from Glenwood Springs, CO on 01/19/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Rec'd lots of compliments, Warm Cons: Can't tuck in jeans, Traction is terrible on, Traction terrible on ice Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was surprised at how warm and comfortable these are. They look very stylish as well. They are easy to get on and off and have adjustable laces if you need them. The traction is terrible on ice though which was a disappointment. NOT like the other Sorel boots I bought 25 years ago. I also got a size smaller as they run a bit large. But otherwise, I would highly recommend them.
I really like these but.... By Snow Walker from Western NY on 01/19/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Waterproof Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am out in the weather a lot, I bought these because of their good reviews, they looked nice enough to go with my winter dress coat, and they were rated at -25 degrees. They fit wonderfully and I have a rather wide foot so that is a major plus for me. My feet stay dry and they remain comfortable even after walking a bit. My only gripe is that they do not stay warm. My toes are always cold, it has been pretty low around here, 1 degree, but today was 15 degrees and I was cold. Not numb, but uncomfortably cold. The main reason for purchasing these was so that my feet would stay warm and dry, I am out in the weather for at most 5 hours at a time so I really needed them to keep my feet warm.

Excellent traction in icy conditions. Fashionable. I receive a lot of compliments on them from young and elderly alike.
By Patti from Merrimack, NH on 01/18/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are everything promised. The suggestions regarding sizing, buy big, were confusing. I usually take a 6, ordered a 6.5, they are a tad too big...
By Mrs. Diaz from CHICAGO, IL on 01/16/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Stylish, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these about a month ago. They were shipped quickly. I originally wanted plainer looking city cold-weather boots. I was considering the Sorel Kaya and the Waterfall styles as well. After reading the reviews about both of these, I took a peak at the reviews for the Sedna style. What I was reading told me, the Sedna would be my best bet. I wanted a boot that would fit well, be supportive and comfy, be warm, handle wet and sloppy weather, and look somewhat cute. I am so glad I ordered these. I ordered them in size 7 1/2, which is my true size and they were just roomy enough, not a whole half-size too large. The bigger foot pad is nice for thicker socks and not having cramped toes. The room in the calf area is nice to tuck pant legs in. You can tighten them with the cording provided at the front if need be. I hopped off a bus on Division one morning into a snow drift that was up to my knees with a soupy puddle at the bottom, and yet my legs and feet remained dry. I can have damp feet from shoes for work and put these boots on and suddenly find my feet dry. I love these boots! The price was more than what I originally wanted to spend, but they were well worth that menial sacrifice. Not that I really care about it, but I have received compliments on them. I live in Chicago and only wear these when it is below 30 degrees, snowing, or if it's sloppy and cold. I don't go walking through puddles on purpose or testing my luck on ice. However, I have had to walk across ice and found that I didn't slip much. Also, they're perfect for city dwellers, they keep you just warm enough to be comfortable and you can wear them indoors without overheating. Also, the support in the boot while you're walking is excellent and doesn't flatten out. If you are caught between styles, choose these...YOU WON'T BE SORRY, just warm and comfy in the cold and often sloppy winter.
I would buy these boots again and again! By ToastyToes (thanks sorel) =] from Chillsville, ND =] on 01/15/2009 Pros: Breathable, Cute stylish, Easy Entry & Exit, EXTREMELY comfortable, Good for deep snow, Good Traction, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Deep snow, Slippery Terrain, Very cold weather, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: -20 to -30 weather, Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These are the best boots I've ever owned. We always get some -30 (without windchill) weather, and the boots have been toasty warm.
I've never spent this much money on boots, but it was a b-day gift from my husband and I'm so glad he got them. They were well worth the extra money.
