One of the Better Sorels - a Great Boot By Nanuq from New England on 01/21/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: After Skiing/Snowboarding, Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've bought and used Sorel boots for years, and this is one of their best. Versatile and lightweight, with good traction and support. Great for rural hikes or urban walkarounds. They felt tight at first, but soon formed to a comfortably snug fit (even with double sock layers). And at these prices, you'd be hard-pressed to find a better deal.

As with any good boot, these will take a little time to break in. Felt small at first but wearing a light sock, they broke in and loosened up.
Nice all around winter boot.
By Spinner from Hood River, OR on 01/20/2009 Pros: Good Traction, Lightweight, Warm, Waterproof Best Uses: Cold Weather, Slippery Terrain, Wet Conditions Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these for shoveling my car out in Hood River, OR. We haven't had any snow since the shoes were delivered, so I'm unsure about their snow-worthiness. Toebox is a little tight for Sorels- hope they break in.

Great boot, for great price. By Designer Boy from Massapequa, NY on 01/15/2009 Pros: Easy Entry & Exit, Good Traction Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought these boots to replace my old Sorel snow boots (warm but very bulky). I figured with 200G of Thinsulate and a nice pair of merino wool socks my feet would be toasty. I've had them three weeks and my feet have frooze thru four outdoor ice hockey games now. It may be back to the bulk for me. On the bright side they are good looking and constructed nicely BUT I would not say they are warm at all.
