It works great for both. Went back and purchased a handful more for friends as cool little gifts. Great liner for the fall and spring. Thin enough to fit under motorcycle and bicycle helmet. Dont let it hit your muffler though , it melts fast.

It is not too thick and fits easily under helmet. I use for rides when temperature is in the range of 40 to 55 deg F. Breathes well. Nothing fancy, nice thing to have.
