Just can't beat the quality and price on this reel and if it gets a few nicks that's ok too.

The cork disc drag is partially visible via a gap between the drag housing and reel. Thus not suitable for salt water use since maintenance will necessitate dismantling the whole reel and drag. It's a robust reel for the relatively low price. The fit of the spool and reel is good and operation is smooth. Great reel for the novice or for a knock around set up for the mountain lakes and rivers.

It appears well made and I'm sure it will serve me well.
