By John Coctosin from co on 02/06/2010 Pros: Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Daily Use, Hiking Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I thought I would give Bridgedale another try based on the price, but I just don't like their material. I much prefer smartwool. I think it's the isofill I don't like and prefer more wool. My feet seem to move around in them, they get fuzzy after being washed, and the tops of these socks are incredibly thin and not soft. It could be a personal preference, I just don't like the Bridgedale product.

They seemed to be a little too loosely knit for my liking. I much preferred my usual Rohner Treking socks. With both I used thin inner socks as well. I have relegated these to day hikes with light loads and they work just fine.
By Kurt from White Mountains of NH on 01/29/2010 Best Uses: Daily Use, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Compared to Smartwool light socks, these feel fairly similar in the foot area but don't wick quite as well. The top or leg part of the sock, however, feels a bit too thin and wimpy for my liking. Can't beat the price though.

The socks were so great when I got home from the trip I went on line and bought three more pair. I worn one pair of the them the whole three day trip and they were comfortable and moisture wicking the whole time. And it was pretty hot and muggy at times.
By Bloodycool from MD on 08/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Grabbed a pair of these to supplement my sock reserves for a 3 day backpacking trip in PA. They worked fine. I can't say they are the greatest sock ever, but they certainly do the job well.
By CC coach from Ellensburg, WA on 07/28/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Good Design, Regulates Temperature Well, Wicks Away Moisture Best Uses: Backpacking, Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My wife and I just went on a three day packpack trip and we took a pair each and they were great. My feet have never been so comfortable hiking. My pair got wet at night because they were not completely under the rain fly and I wore them anyway. My feet were still comfortable and they did not get soggy at all.
