Comments:
Although I have not used these extensively, they fill the bill for me. Easy to throw on to make a trip to the wood pile. I have used them snowmobiling and ice fishing in moderate weather. I didn't purchase them until March so the cold weather test will happen next year.

Great to shovel the avg 16 inch snow fall in northern Indiana, play with the kids, sledding and hiking. The boots are warm and comfortable, easy to walk in. Would buy again and the price was right.

These lived up to my expectations, they held heat well when inactive and perfectly comfortable when hiking, no sweaty feet. Had some significant ice to deal with, the traction was better than anticipated.

Very nice boots!
By Winter Dad from Appleton, WI on 12/23/2008
Pros:
Comfortable, Easy Entry & Exit, Warm, Waterproof
Cons:
Heavy
Best Uses:
Cold Weather, Snow
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
This is the 1st pair of lined boots I've owned (after living 40 years in the Midwest), and I must say these are very nice and warm, even after a few hours in sub-zero temps. At size 14, they're heavy, but the quality is great so far. The lining is not removable, but if you lace them up and wear some snow pants over the top, they'll stay dry. I'm very satisfied so far.

Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports

Comments:
Like these boots, but still have to give them a good working. Size was a little off. I ALWAYS wear a size 10 and ordered a 10, but they feel like a 10.5. Good sole. The boot laces are super long and have to be wrapped around the leg, then tied. I think I will wind up cutting the laces shorter. I'm a little dubious of the -40 claim, but time will tell. Not a perfect boot, but worth the money. No majot complaints.

Not the same as the original model
By Jonnybobcat from Seattle, WA on 12/18/2008
Cons:
Difficult Entry & Exit, Not Comfortable
Best Uses:
Cold Weather
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Gear Usage:
Outdoor Construction Use
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
Sorel IS GONE! This is more like Columbia (the parent company), everything made in China, etc, no longer made in Canada or USA. I wear a size 7.5 ordered an 8 and was too tight to get into. The original Conquest had a synthetic boot insert (AWESOME!!), it was also designed with leather bonded to a rubber sole. This product doesn't measure up to the name "Sorel".

Great price, but not for hunting
By Chris from Milwaukee, WI on 12/01/2008
Pros:
Good Traction, Waterproof
Cons:
Don't Breathe, Not Comfortable, Not Warm
Best Uses:
Slippery Terrain, Snow, Wet Conditions
Describe Yourself:
Casual/ Recreational
Gear Usage:
Cold Weather Living, Hunting, Winter Sports
Bottom Line:
No, I would not recommend this to a friend
Comments:
First used the boots for deer hunting in WI. As long as I was on the move, the boots were warm. Once in my tree stand though, boots got very cold and I doubt they are truely rated for -40 (my feet were cold and it was +12 outside). Also, not very comfortable on ankles when walking on uneven terrain. For general winter use, I'm sure they'll be fine.
