By Penman from Hainesport, NJ on 04/25/2008 Pros: Comfortable, High Quality, Stain Resistant, Washes Well Best Uses: Garden Work, Household Chores, On The Weekend Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Eclectic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Lightweight, easy-care jeans/sweats replacement for work around the house - and if you find yourself dashing out to the home center for an extra part or bag of mulch (who doesn't?), you'll look presentable. They'd probably work perfectly well for travel as well. My only issue? As others have observed, the sewn-in brief may be a plus for some and a minus for others. I'm in the latter camp; a few scissors snips took care of the matter.

By Retired Snake Eater from Blue Ridge Mountains on 12/04/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Cons: Wear Out Quickly, Wrinkles Easily Describe Yourself: Weekend Warrior Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Comfy but wrinkle easily, so are of little use other than outdoor recreation. But even then, the slightest knick or pull will turn into a huge hole as these pants have no rip-stop qualities at all - they are quite fragile in fact.
Good features & design - but lacks elan. By Jeff Outdoors from Akron, OH on 11/27/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight Best Uses: Casual Wear, Sports Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Critical, Stylish Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: OK for camping, but if you're traveling, wanting to take them out of a suitcase, throw them on and look good, then the purpose is defeated. You'll need an iron. Quality, functionality, construction and comfort are good. I was just expecting different thought from ExOfficio in choosing fabric. PERFECT for canoeing or rafting as claimed.

Favorite Brand, Favorite Pants By FrostyWalrus from Princeton, IN on 09/14/2007 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Design, Practical Cons: Not Cheap at Full Price Best Uses: Backpacking, Everyday, Fishing, Going Out, Hiking, Office, Rock climbing, Travel Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual, High-end shopper, Trendy Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've gone on rants and raves about these pants so often around my friends that all of my closest friends now own a pair (not all of the same color thank God, lol).
This is my second pair, after retiring the first to camping only since they are no longer soft after wearing them for the last five or more years (they also had a lot of burn holes from fires, wear and tear from climbing/rapping, spelunking, etc...).
