Good traveling pants
By DavidVerified Reviewer from Cincinnati, OH on 04/07/2009
Pros:
Breathable, Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Packable
Cons:
Mesh brief
Best Uses:
Backpacking, Camping, Hiking, Travel
Describe Yourself:
Avid Adventurer
Length:
Feels true to length
Waist:
Feels true to size
Bottom Line:
Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
Comments:
I used these pants on a recent trip to Hawaii. The material is light and breathable, and the shorts are a good length and comfortable. I bought size medium with the shorter length, and they fit perfectly. I usually wear a 32"x30" in other pants. I cut out the mesh lining and plan on using these for further travel and backpacking adventures.

Comments:
These are a very nice pair of pants. With the mesh liner there is no need for underware. I like the feature, some might not. The inseam is just right for me and my legs are short, so if your legs are long. over 30 inch, might be to short. Very cool and comfortable for all day hiking.

I have purchased several Ex Officio products and continue to be impressed with their design and quality. My slight beef with this pair of pants is that they cling to my lower leg (shins); however, i am not sure i can fault the manufacturer for that.

Comments:
I planned to use these pants for hiking. They seem to run small. They are a size smal, 28-30. They are sized more like a 28 waist. I was not able to use them because of this. I passed them on to a friend who is smaller than I am. He seems real happy with them.

bought these (size small) for my 10 year old son who is big for his age, so fit him perfectly - would be short on most men unless you are under five feet tall.

For a light weight pants theese kept me surprisingly warm in 45-50 degree weather with a 15-20 mph wind. I hope they are equally breathable and cool in the summer.

Only problem using these when hiking or backpacking is the built in briefs. But will be great when spring gets here for use on the boat.

This were too short at the 30" inseam on the men's short. Sierra had them billed as a 31" inseam, but they were clearly marked on the tag as 30". Sent them back.
