I need a very stiff shoe because I have a forefoot problem. If you don't like a stiff shoe, this may not be for you, but it's a feature I always look for and need. I actually bought this shoe twice I liked it so much.

good product---good price-- By maggiepat from toms river, NJ on 09/23/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: salamon is the best running trail sneaker--lacing mechanism tightens to make sneaker and foot as one-- Have had laces fray and break while shoe has more life--there is no alternative except to trash the sneaker
comfortable shoe but runs large By Holly from Wenatchee, WA on 09/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Traction, Stable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This shoe seems very comfortable. It has great arch support with it's built in (but removable) ortho-inserts. I also liked the lace system--no more shoes strings dragging on the ground. These shoes seem like they would be great for both daily use and hiking treks. Sadly, I had to return the shoes because they run large--I sometimes get wides in shoes for the toe area and normally wear an 8 and these felt huge--and they didn't have a 7.5 in stock so I have to go without. I will be on the lookout for another similar pair in my size!
