I had no chance to break them in, and yet I walked the mile with ease and noticed less resistance than I normally have in the past. My feet did not hurt, nor did my legs or ankles. I love them! They are still very new, so we will see about longevity, but I will definitely buy again.

You can always count on New Balance By kstor from Oregon on 03/31/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Flexible, Lightweight Best Uses: Everyday wear, Walking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: As a Nurse I am constantly on the go.. I alternate between my New Balance tennis shoes and my Dansko's as I find the Dansko does not offer the same shock absorbency as the New Balance shoes offer. They are the only tennis shoe I will purchase as I know they will always fit, no matter what the style.
