Great value for the price!!! By gozar88 from Freehold, NJ on 09/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Waterproof Best Uses: Casual Wear, Coaching, Spectator sports, Walking the dog, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This jacket was just what I was looking for! Got it the day we started a weekend soccer tournament in the rain and it did a great job of keeping me dry. Also great for walking the dog in the rain. Zippered pockets and breast pocket are very nice. Extremely lightweight so that worn by itself it doesn't weigh you down.
Cons for me (definitely did not outweigh the pros) were a) the sleeve cuffs were a little cheap and weren't what I have on other Columbia jackets; b) I wish the hood was hideable; c) I wore it when it was warm and it didn't breathe too well--had it been cooler I would have been happier.

My son is very pleased with this jacket.

I has not rained since receiving it, but I did put it on for extra warmth while camping in the mountains.
DOES NOT BREATH VERY WELL By lugalla from Eire on 08/17/2009 Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Good jacket. Fits well. Warm and a very good hood.
It is not breathable though. after 20minutes walking the slieves were soaking with sweat. therefore can be uncomfortable.
Versatile inexpensive warm light jacket By Ridge Dancer from Colorado Rockies on 08/14/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight, Warm, Windproof Best Uses: Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the internal "vest" of insolation built in to go with the waterproofness. That makes it a 2 in 1 for me, one less layer to carry and I always like a bit of extra warmth when it is raining. Packable too!
