The leather on the soles of the feet is so soft and comfortable and the straps are too. It also has this beautiful, subtle purple irridescence. The first day I wore them, 3 of my friends admired them, tried them on, and 2 of them ordered them!

This type of Columbia sole is perfect if you are having problems. They flex very well. The arch support is just right. I think the band in the center is too wide and looks strange at first but you get used to it. These sandals are like wearing tennis shoes the way that strap holds your foot in place. I wish I could find more styles with this same sole, but I don't like thongs and thats all there is for now. I am considering ordering two more pairs for next summer. Everyones feet are different, these work great for me. I would not get them if your feet are wide. They are a bit long in front but it isn't bad. The look of the sandal is really odd with that wide band but well worth it in comfort. I have the beige pair, they are lighter in color than the picture. I also have the brown pair, they have a slight pearlized purple tint on the straps that some people will not like, but it really does not show much though and still worth getting even with that. I just wore these at a swap meet for about 3 hours and they did start to chaff a bit at the toe but I think any sandal would after that much constant walking. Good luck, hope this helps!

The velcro strap is a great adjustment for me.
By Noelle Rose from London on 08/13/2009 Describe Yourself: Casual, Conservative Sizing: Feels half size too big Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Cute sandals but they are way too wide. I could have worn them length-wise but there is no way to shorten the toe straps and they are way too loose for my 11M foot.
