By Andy the Driller from Gig Harbor, WA on 11/13/2009 Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These boots are heavily insulated and would probably work well if you live in arctic conditions. In my case, however, the padding was too much and excessively pinched my shins. I returned them in favor of the Carolina 8" Lace-to-toes.

By Wildjuan from Loleta CA on 11/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Work Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I am just breaking these boots in but they seem like they will work out well for me. I bought my normal size and although they felt a little tight at first, the thinsulate compresses soon after putting them on. I work on cold wet cement floors all day so these are a great winter boot. They have extra thick insulation which makes them a little heavy, an easy price to pay for warm feet!
well padded heavy-duty outdoor boots By Dan from Long Island, NY on 11/07/2009 Pros: Durable, Stable, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Boots are slightly smaller than expected and must get used to the padding which makes these boots definitely on the heavy side. They look like Paul Bunyan boots but expect to use them in snow/cold/wet NY winters. Seems like they'll hold up.
