By gus1gus1 from McLean, VA on 11/17/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Fits well with neoprene booties. I wear a size 13, ordered a size 13 and they fit perfectly with my waders. Therefore, I think they are true to size, knowing that they will be worn with the neoprene booties of waders. So far, only worn a few times and grip is good on slimy rocks. Good ankle support.
By fly fisher from Colorado on 11/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was not sure about these boots but I purchased a pair on sale and have loved them. They have a great sole, good support, are light weight and are durable. If I had to complain it would only be that they don't drain well and I need to dump a little water out when I take the boots off. Not a real big problem but other boots I have don't have the problem. I put these with Simms and Cloudveil, you won't be upset with these.

By 299e from NorCal on 10/25/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: My normal size is 10-1/2 B; the size 10s fit me best, and the 11s were quite huge.
By WA traveler from Milton, WA on 10/22/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These wading boots were purchased for my husband who had returned from a prior fishing trip with his boots in shreds. The Patagonia boots are top quality, functional, and fit well; therefore - happy fly-fisherman!
Excellent, Lightweight Wading Shoes By Drag free drift seeker from Upstate New York on 10/21/2009 Pros: Easy to get on and off, Lightweight, Stable, Tough, Wide enough Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These wading shoes are really well made in classic Patagonia style. They have everything they need without a lot of extraneous stuff. My guess is that Patagonia benefitted from the staff members' experiences with winter mountaineering boots, which often consist of a boot plus a removable liner. So they know how to make the boot slide on and off of neoprene booties easily and still be supportive. In any case, this shoe has worked very well in pretty tough conditions for me and I am somewhat mystified as to why they are discontinuing it.
By Fly_Fisher_OR from Corvallis, OR on 10/20/2009 Pros: Good Grip, Lightweight Best Uses: Fly Fishing, Freshwater Fishing, Saltwater Fishing Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I've never owned wading boots before, so my review is somewhat less critical than someone who has owned a few different pairs in their life, but I can't imagine fishing without these boots. These puppies really opened up a new dimension to my fishing. I was able to maintain a firm and stable grip even in fast current, and traipsing through slippery rocks on the way to the next hole was not a problem. Its awesome to have the studs, because you can tell when the felt starts to give way, the studs catch, and you keep traction. The heel did some rubbing, but not enough to cause much discomfort, and certainly not even close to a blister. If you want to leave room for thick socks and gravel guards, order the next size up. I wear a 9, and got a 10...seems to be a perfect fit. I would definitely recommend these boots to anyone, especially at this price.
Decent studded felt boots By King-a-kong-a from hiding in plain site. on 10/13/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I either wear a 14 or a 15 boot depending on the brand / cut. This makes it hard to find wading boots. Often size 14 is the largest companies make. That being said, I found these slightly more snug than some other brands. All in all seems well made and wore them all day recently trip to a free stone stream known for tough wading. They did well.
By Marley from Lakewood Ohio on 09/30/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Durable, Good Grip, Lightweight Cons: Nothing negative to say Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: So far, very happy with the boots.
Great buy and great performer By Troutbum from Durango, CO on 09/29/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Dries Easily, Good Grip, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Avid Fisher Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Used on the San Juan and made the slippery rocks and slimy lava much more manageable. These studded boots are the answer for anyone wading a slick streambed.
Only negative was the quick lace hooks that cut into the laces if you aren't careful when lacing up-so not so quick.
