Classic lines; timeless styling By Liz from OH on 11/03/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Nice with jeans or skirt, Stylish, Versatile, Warm but not bulky Cons: Had to alter sleeves Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Office, Travel, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Classic, High-end shopper, Stylish Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the feel of the material! I haven't worn it yet so I can't comment on the wearability. I was looking for something for everyday and evening if needed. I prefer the long length for its warmth. Because it is slightly fitted, it is slimming rather than bulky.
By Kara the kat keeper from Larksville, Pa. on 10/22/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Stylish Cons: Irregular Size, No walking vent, Too slim at bottom Best Uses: Going Out, Office, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is a very nice coat but they skimped on the fabric or cut at the bottom. The size 14 fit great but there's not enough overlap and there's no back vent. If you've got a very slim straight figure, I guess it would fit fine. The size 16 was too big. Am I making any sense? It's just an odd fit and I was very disappointed because it's a good looking coat.
Simple Classic lines, maybe too plain By Sunny from Illinois on 10/20/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic, Practical Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I was drawn to this coat because of it's simple classic styling. I still like it, but it might be a bit too plain. The fabric is nice so I will be keeping it for dressy occasions. I don't know if it will be warm enough for Illinois winters, but it is big enough to layer under. I also liked that it came in petite sizes, but the arms and length are longer than I expected. I might get it shortened.
By Sewing Teacher from Homer AK on 10/05/2009 Pros: Attractive Design, Comfortable, Stylish Best Uses: Going Out, Office, Travel, Work Meetings Describe Yourself: Classic, Comfort-oriented, Practical, Stylish, Value Quality shopper Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I bought this coat early last winter, and wore it constantly for 6 months (I live in Homer Alaska). It's a compliment-magnet, looks quite elegant, and fits perfectly. The workmanship is of high quality, and the coat has held its shape over countless hours of auto driving. My only two complaints are that it is not as warm as I'd like when the cold wind blows, and after a season of use, it looks just a bit worn. The alpaca wool is textured like a boucle' (I think it's the natural curl in the wool yarn), and it tends to show wear more than would, say, a flat Melton wool. I still love it, feel gorgeous in it, and would highly recommend it. I am a petite, and don't mind coats being a bit long on me, so I would say the length is fine for taller folks than I.
