Nice softshell, definitely sized too big By ChiGuy in UT from Cedar City, UT on 10/26/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Thanks to the others who provided feedback - I ordered a size smaller and even then had a little extra space. Still it's a nice softshell for hiking - even a size down has room for extra layers. Zipper with the button overlay seals the front well.
Exactly what I was hoping for! By Bob the hiker from Lake Placid, NY on 10/05/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Warm Best Uses: Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping, Wet Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A great jacket for cool wet conditions. It is waterproof and warm. I ordered this jacket to use day to day on campus in wet weather, but have also used it camping in the mountains and it has kept me warm and dry. Fit is generous, cut is comfortable. This jacket is not bulky, and actually feels more like an overshirt than a heavy coat.
Fit too large/not standard Patagonia By Bob Laublaugh from Orange County, CA on 10/04/2009 Pros: Durable, Stylish, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I agree with the first review. This jacket runs big for Patagonia's standards. I have many Patagonia products, all size medium, and none are as large as this jacket. I returned the item for a small. Will (re)review when I receive the jacket.
By just some guy from Wisconsin on 10/02/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Just got it on a whim because I love Patagonia
Its already my favorite coat.
I keep hoping for cold days so I can wear it
Its reversible but I play it straight.
It doesn't look very water resistant
I didn't give it 5 stars but Its hard for me to give 5 stars. I mean something well eventually be better right?
Its boxy and seems easy to layer for colder days
By kak from Wenatchee, WA on 09/21/2009 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Cold Weather, Hiking and Camping Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This was a really nice jacket at a great price. I bought it for my husbands birthday, unfortunately it was too big in a M, and I was wary of ordering a S -- he has never been a small in anything. This would be great if you wanted to layer it over bulky pieces. I guess I expected a fit that would work for active pursuits a little better.
