Most disappointing are the dark cracks inside the cups from the coffee getting in the crack. I don't have a dishwasher, so everything has been hand washed. Although it is a small issue with regard to the mugs, it really hasn't happened except to a few dishes (and those get washed much more frequently.) For the price that these are available, they are beautiful dishes and I am happy with our purchase. We have used these dishes for 2 weeks now and wash in the dishwasher in sani-cycle. The dishes are marked dishwasher-safe although this site specifies handwash. Hopefully, the finish will not become an issue in the future. Also, the dishes are very large, and the soup bowl is shallow and wide. Love it!
