By JC from the Oregon coast on 12/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: A very nice raincoat. I love the marina color (a beautiful Robin's egg blue) and I also like the simplicity of the design. I think the sizing runs small; I'll usually wear this in the fall/winter/spring, and wanted it big enough to wear over a fleece jacket. The X-Large size was perfect for me to be able to wear over a size medium jacket.
By Outdoor mom and coach from NC Mountains on 10/29/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Downhill Describe Yourself: Advanced Chest Size: Feels true to size Gear Usage: Cold Weather Living, Winter Sports Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I originally bought this jacket to wear skiing at our home mountain resort of Sugar Mountain, NC. We get many days where the temperature hovers around freezing thus supplying us with sleet, freezing rain, etc. My regular ski jacket (made by a MAJOR ski apparel manufacturer)just doesn't keep me completely dry on the drizzly days on the slopes.
That being said, I am also a youth sports coach and my High School girls field hockey team sometimes plays in very inclement weather. I wore this jacket to several windy, rainy games and I was perfectly dry.
It is very fitted (and thus stylish) so I recommend you size up if you want to wear a layer other than a thin (100 weight) fleece underneath. I wear a size 6 and bought a small. A medium would have been more roomy, but winters are generally not too cold here and I don't need a bulky baselayer. The green color is bright, but I like being highly visible on the field and the slopes.

By PLouise from San Antonio, TX on 09/08/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Best Uses: Casual Wear, Hiking Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels too small Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this jacket! I ordered a small the first time around, as I am usually a size 6. However, the small was REALLY small. So, I returned it for a medium and it was a perfect fit.
LOVE this jacket! Very waterproof! By Sara from Bellevue, WA on 09/06/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Lightweight, Stylish, Waterproof, Wind Resistant Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Chest Size: Feels true to size Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love this jacket! The green is a little brighter than shown in the picture, but is really nice. It's gore-tex so I tested it in very heavy rain and stayed completely dry. I don't know if it breathes well since the weather was sort of cold, but there are pit zips if you get hot. I love this jacket and it looks nice too!

I can still wear a soft shell under the shell which I will do when the weather is in the 40's.
