They are very nice pants and if you can get over "the whole vanity thing" go for it! I ordered both colors......they will be great of the office this summer!
By SassiestofLassies from Phoenix, AZ on 05/07/2008 Pros: good color, Good weave Describe Yourself: Career, Casual, Classic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Absolutely adorable trousers, unfortunately also at minimum 2 sizes down from normal trouser sizing.
Have a 26" waist and 34" hips, these sit right at the top of my hipbones but pinch terribly. I normally wear a 2-4 very comfortably but purchased a 6 in these as I wanted them for lounging and completely unrestricted....little did I know they would be painted on.
look good, too small for a smurf By they call me Bruce from Charleston, SC on 04/22/2008 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: the size I ordered does not fit, it is so small the size can't be right.
Very cute pants, order 3 sizes up! By Avon Walker from Boston, MA on 04/02/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Flattering, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Work Days, Comfort-Oriented, On The Weekend Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Casual Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I took the recommendations and ordered 2 sizes up, but they were still too small! In my opinion, the 8 is equivalent to a size 2, and the 10 is a regular 4. (I returned the first order and went up one more size). But now that I've got the size right I love the pants, they're very cute and comfy. The "khaki" color is definitely sage green, very pretty, but not khaki. These are a great deal!!
By Miss Mo from Southeast US on 03/21/2008 Cons: Color Not As Expected, more green than expected Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Classic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Seems like these are inconsistent, so beware before ordering. I ordered up two sizes and they were still FAR too small on me.
By bargain shopper from Jessup, MD on 03/21/2008 Pros: Flattering, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Casual Work Days, On a Date, To School Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Eclectic Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The waistband is broad and holds in tummy, it feels solid with the fold-over tab. Great length. Where the pants fit tight, the linen is a little scratchy.
By FB from Albuquerque, NM on 03/13/2008 Cons: Huge bell legs, Weird design Describe Yourself: Bargain Shopper, Career, Casual, Classic, Conservative Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Sort of a funky pair of pants, not classic as I wanted. Strange side D-ring belt.
Ordered Two Sizes Up and I Love Them By Frugal and Fabulous from New York on 02/06/2008 Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Stylish Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I thankfully read the reviews here and ordered "two sizes up" which, for me, meant I ordered a 12 when I usually wear an 8. That did the trick as they fit great.
I like pants with a low waist. If you don't, these may not be for you. I like the fabric and the seams are nicely done. I chose khaki and, as one other reviewer mentioned, it is a very sage green sort of khaki. I like it but it is more green-toned than it appears in the product picture.
By Alaska mama to two from Sitka, Alaska on 01/22/2008 Describe Yourself: Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Outdoorsy Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I ordered the suggested two sizes larger and they were still incredibly small. The size 8 felt like a size 2 Long.
By ESL Teacher from Boston, MA on 01/17/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Wide leg Cons: Very low waist, Wrinkles Easily Best Uses: Casual Wear, Going Out, Hot weather Describe Yourself: 39 year old public school, Comfort-oriented, Conservative, Frugal, Stylish Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I really liked these pants, but the waist fell well below my "mommy-bulge" so I was forced to wear them only with loose, long-cut tops. On the good side, they looked great as I walked and were comfortable. Stylish, but not too conservative. I'm normally a 10, so I had to buy a 14, as they're sized two sizes too small. Keep in mind these are linen, so they do wrinkle, and stiffen a little in the wash. Can't wait till it's warm enough again to wear them!
