They are perfectly light weight for daily wear, and have a fun, funky design. I wear a 9 shoe, and they are a bit long on my foot, but not so long that they bunch in the front or back. These are great socks, and were at a great price (for Smartwool).

Wool slides better than anything I know, so I slip these over my slippers.

They didnt work for me because I was looking for a heavier weight material. I had bought a "light weight smartwool" in the past that was not as light as these and worked for daily wear and cycling. I would recommend these for use with tighter fitting shoes, not athletic shoes. Enjoy
