By doug from NC on 01/28/2009 Describe Yourself: Competitive Cyclist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: took a chance with these and they are not comfortable at all. Legs are way to short and fabric bleeds when washed. Pad is comfortable, the only good thing about these shorts!
If you buy it - do NOT wash it! By Live2Ride from Beautiful NC on 10/03/2008 Pros: Breathable, Good Padding, Good Pockets and Features Best Uses: Road Racing, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Competitive Cyclist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These bibs are well designed and looks great BUT the black colour runs like cheap ink! It ruined the bibs after one wash and a couple of my favourite woolen Campagnolo jerseys along with them :-(. The White on the bibs is now a filthy, streaky grey. Every subsequent wash is making it worse. I am desperately trying to save my poor jerseys now. (finger's crossed) I can probably wear the bib under some running tights for riding this winter, but come spring they are going into the trash. I wish I had read the other reviews before buying them.
On the positive side they are fairly well made. Too bad for the black material.
By Money! from SLC, UT on 07/30/2008 Pros: Durable, Good Padding Best Uses: Road Racing, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Don't sweat the small stuff. I saw the concerns about the stains and bought them anyway. I use them on my long rides every week-end and I haven't noticed them getting gray, although the white is marked. Bottom line they are a great bib for a great price.
By oompf from la. ca on 05/18/2008 Pros: Breathable, Dries Quickly, Good Padding, Good Pockets and Features Cons: Hard to Wash, white panels stains Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: After riding 3 hours in these. The white panels had black marks on them. After washing the white panels turned grey and had even more black marks on them. Fit great, if you don't mind looking dirty
White fabric picks up stains By Tom from Pasadena, CA on 10/19/2007 Pros: Dries Quickly, Durable, Good Padding Cons: Fabric stains very easily, Hard to Wash Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I love my Biemme Nexus bib tights. However, the white fabric in these bibs just insists on staining from any source. It started with my first ride when I touched the fabric with a bit of butter on my fingers and that stain (and many others since) has never come out.
By kg from slc, ut on 10/13/2007 Best Uses: Road Racing, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Pad is good, inseam a bit short for my taste, white panels turned grey after first washing, and then continued to get more grey with subsequent washing.
By Jaynuze from Washington, DC on 09/12/2007 Pros: A little snug at first, A little warm in humidity, Dries Quickly, Durable, Good Padding Cons: Doesn't breathe as well Best Uses: Road Racing, Weekly group rides Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist, Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: The bib felt a bit tight at first, but after my first ride it seemed to stretch out a little bit for a comfortable fit while riding. I'm sure it will be snug again after its first wash, but the snug fit works well.
Nice shorts, but not for me By mdeth1313 from Upstate, NY on 09/11/2007 Cons: Not Enough Padding, Padding Fit Best Uses: Road Racing, Warm Weather Describe Yourself: Avid Cyclist, Competitive Cyclist Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Tried them on and NOPE- the chamois cut was too narrow in the crotch area-- it was going to chafe and cause saddle sores.
Not that fantastic for the price either.
