The coziest sweater I own! By katey-q from Seattle, WA on 10/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Lightweight, Soft, Warm Best Uses: Casual Wear, Casual work Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I can't believe how warm this sweater is -- especially since it weighs next to nothing! I love wool, but I have to admit the alpaca softness is pretty nice. The fit is loose, but elegant. This sweater looks great with fitted jeans or longer skirts. Very simple and comfortable!
By joanie from farmington, ct on 10/14/2009 Describe Yourself: Classic Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: This product was largely machine-made, with some handmade details around the neck and across the front. The sleeves were much too wide at the wrists. The whole effect was unflattering.
Nice but a little scratchy By jasher from Salt Lake City, UT on 10/13/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Soft, Warm Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I love the softness of the sweater, and even the long, slightly flared sleeves don't bother me (I usually push my sleeves up to 3/4 length anyway), but the sweater is scratchy. I've never known myself to be allergic to alpaca, so the scratchiness surprised me. Also, the scratchiness seems to increase the longer I wear it, so while I like the sweater, I'm afraid I won't wear it as often as I expected to.
By Desert Dweller from Las Vegas on 10/09/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Great Color, Soft Best Uses: Casual Wear, Outdoor activities Describe Yourself: Casual Dresser Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I love alpaca and I like buy items that benefit the artisans that make them. The concept of this sweater is good (warm and snugly), but the specifications or the execution of them are out of whack. The body is okay but the sleeves are extraordinarily long and skinny, and the shoulders are distended as if they were intended to be puffy or accommodate pads. Altogether weird, but I am going to wash and try blocking it, so that I can wear it.

I love the softness and warmth of alpaca.
By Mainiac from Portland, ME on 09/13/2009 Chest Size: Feels true to size Length: Feels true to length Sleeve Length: Feels too long Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For me, this is too scratchy to wear without something underneath, though it is indeed a very nice sweater.
I got mine a size oversized for a more drapey look, and though the sweater might be a little heavy for that, I think this will sort of work. The only difficulty there is the cut of the shoulders (or the blocking on mine), which is very square at the shoulders where the sleeve hits. Mine is as if it's been hanging on the wrong thing, though I'm pretty sure it can be blocked out.
The sleeves are quite long, which I think is great for the cut, but might not be what you're after.
