my favorite all around shoe By C from Maryland on 10/23/2009 Pros: Absorbs Shock, Attractive Design, Comfortable, Durable, Grippy, Lightweight, Supportive, Versatile, Water tight Best Uses: Backpacking, Endurance Training, Everyday wear, Hiking, Pavement, Sloppy Conditions, Walking Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This is my 4th pair of this shoe in the low top version. I also own a pair in the higher top. I do everything in these shoes. They are amazingly versatile. I wear them on regular hikes or just camping to serious backpacking. They are so supportive I don't typically require the ankle support of a higher boot when carrying less than 35 lbs. I wish Merrell continued to make these just as they are. Their newer version doesn't fit me as well. So I was glad to find these here and at a great price.
