Worst Teva Product in 25 Years By Datong Dave from New England on 11/06/2009 Cons: Awful styling, Buckles break, Poor materials, Wear Out Quickly Describe Yourself: Outdoor professional Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Teva has made a reputation over the last 25 years of being the true footware provider for the paddle sport industry. While most of their products have lasted the test of time (baking sun, hard use for 200+days a summer, light hiking, canyoning), the Universal buckle is a lemon. The styling is horrible, the materials don't justify a [$] sandal, the buckles break and the soles delaminate...all in a matter of months. Save your money and buy the Terra Fi 2 from Teva or if you're looking for an alternative, investigate Chaco sandals. They are what Teva once was....
By Searcher of great deals from Los Altos, CA on 11/04/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Durable, Good Arch Support, Lightweight Best Uses: At the river, On slippery surfaces Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shoes are great for hiking near rivers or anywhere the ground could be slippery. They have great traction due to a particularly sticky sole. A little bit difficult to walk around the house when the soles are clean, outside they are no problem. They have an odor, as others have mentioned, but it subsides quickly.
So good, I bought another pair... By Thinkin' Jack from Boston, MA on 11/04/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Comfortable, Highly adjustable, Lightweight, Stylish Cons: Chafes unless adjusted Best Uses: Yes all of the above Describe Yourself: Casual, Outdoorsy professional, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: For my birthday, my GF gave me a pair of Teva TerraFi sport sandals she bought at a retail store. Frankly, I didn't like the straps nor the pattern or color (plus, she paid full price!). I suggested we look at Sierra where we found this pair. Upsides: great looking with basic colors; not bulky; kind of "technical" with its highly adjustable strap system. The color blends in well alone with a swimsuit, or with khakis or jeans. We liked it so much, my GF bought herself a pair (they also make a women's model). And, because you never know whether Teva will ever manufacture this model again, I bought another pair for myself and "filed it" away in my closet for future use when my current pair wears out. I paid[$] on sale at STP.
great but didn't work out By happy feet from Oregon on 11/01/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Durable, Good Arch Support Cons: Buckle clashes with ankle Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Husband thought these were great sandals until the buckle started to put pressure on his ankle bones. These were regretfully returned.
Good design, but chemical smell By DRGoldZ from Portland, Oregon on 10/28/2009 Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I noticed a very strong petrochemical chemical smell as soon as I opened the box the sandals (and other items) came in. The smell came from the sandals; the box the sandals were in was also permeated with the smell. I put the sandals on an outside porch, expecting the fresh air to dissipate the smell. After about 10 days, the smell had diminished somewhat but was still there. I am returning the sandals. I am wondering what the chemical is. Were Chinese workers who made this product exposed to carcinogens? Are Sierra Design staff who send this product out aware of this issue but send them out anyway?

Overall ok but not thrilled By Academic Man from Atlanta , Georgia on 10/14/2009 Pros: Breathes Well, Lightweight Cons: Causes Blisters, Strap Chafes Best Uses: At The Beach, Casual Wear, Going Out, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual, Stylish Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Not enought cushioning in heal and the cushioning
on the front straps is just a fabric over some
pressed material not sufficient and caused blisters the first few times. Have tried to loosen the straps to see if this is going to work without making them too flimsy and unsupportive.
Also could have more arch support.
By Julie from Montana on 10/10/2009 Cons: These stink literally Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: These were the world's worst smelling shoes. By Al from Largo, Florida on 10/10/2009 Pros: Comfortable, Good Arch Support Best Uses: Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Alternative, Casual Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Living in Florida I wear shoes or sneakers only a few times a year. Most of the time I wear sandals. I have a few pairs of both Chaco and Teva. Each has its own uniquely superior features so I switch between them.
