They are lightweight and supportive. However, I am not sure I would use them to run on hard, outdoor surfaces...but I am picky about what shoes I use to run in. Overall, worth the value! Love Asics!

I found this shoe also works well in the gym for higher impact activity. They absorb the shock really well and give you nice support. I am really particular with my athletic shoes, these work great. Very light weight.
Not sure about these shoes By Scratch from washington on 10/28/2009 Pros: Flexible, Lightweight Best Uses: Everyday wear, Pavement, Running, Walking Describe Yourself: Gym Rat Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: I'm not sure I'll be keeping these. They feel a little bit too tight in the toes, maybe too short. They just don't feel right. I tried them w/ different socks and still not quite right. My other Asics were immediate "YES! KEEP THEM!". These are just "maybe". The lateral aspect of the heel feels quite stiff, too.
