By ls from juneau, alaska on 09/01/2009 Pros: Dries Quickly, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The waist fits, but the pockets pooch out.
By Isabelle from Colorado on 08/06/2009 Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These were extremely off-sized. I normally wear a size 4, got these in an 8, and they were uncomfortably tight.
By PCruzer from Long Island, NY on 08/05/2009 Pros: Breathable, Lightweight Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: The waist on these shorts is WAY below the waistline to the point that they were not comfortable to wear. Furthermore, in the front the waist angles down even more from the side seams to the zipper.
Cute and very comfortable By Betty from Denver, co on 05/18/2009 Pros: Breathable, Comfortable Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Nice shorts. I typically wear a ten, but they were too small. Also, they are shorter than the picture looks. The picture makes them look like they hit the leg midway down to the knee, but they are a couple of inches shorter than that.
By Sixerfan from Philadelphia on 04/21/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear, Running/Hiking, Travel Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Loved these shorts. Perfect length for me. Very comfortable. I ordered them in black and Khaki. The only thing I would change is that there is a little bit of elastic on back. I prefer regular wasteline.
Nice shorts - shorter than picture By hiker from SC on 04/08/2009 Pros: Comfortable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I like the shorts but they run a size too small and are shorter than they appear in the picture. I had read that they run small in another review so ordered a size up which fit but I found them too short for my comfort. I thought, looking at the picture, that they would come to just above my knee. They are more mid thigh.
By DLC from Auburn, Maine on 03/27/2009 Pros: Breathable, Dries Quickly, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Washes Well Best Uses: Camping, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Casual Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: These shorts are very comfortable and will be great for a casual hike this summer, or just to wear around town. The picture displays them as being much longer than they actually are; When they arrived, I thought they had mailed me the wrong shorts. I do prefer longer shorts, but will keep these because the fabric is so soft and the quality is so good.
By WImomOf3 from Wisconsin on 07/15/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Stylish Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear, Travel Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I got a size larger based on the first review... but they're too big. Love the shorts - so I'll be ordering another pair.
I normally wear an 8 - 10, ordered the 10 and they're falling off mid-wear. They started off fine, but by midday, I found myself hiking my shorts up every other minute.
SO.... maybe they stretch a bit as you wear 'em. Like jeans? The picture definitely doesn't look like the shorts - they seem a tad shorter, a bit flared at the bottom, and definitely cuter.
By Mississippi transplant from Caledonia, MS on 06/26/2008 Pros: Breathable, High-Quality Material and Stitching, Lightweight, Stylish, Washes Well Best Uses: Backpacking, Camping, Casual Wear Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Length: Feels true to length Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I don't think the picture represents these very well. They are much more stylish in person. I usually wear a 2 and had to return them for a 4, which fit perfectly. Although these are canvas, they are very comfortable even in Mississippi weather. Wish they had more colors, as they are perfect for everything from hiking to sitting at the ballpark.
