Ordered a half size larger, and the fit was perfect.

By 2 dimes from NY on 02/22/2009 Pros: Breathable, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent Cons: Not Comfortable, Not Water Resistant Best Uses: Everyday, Paved Trails, Rocky/Unstable Terrain Describe Yourself: Competitive Athlete, Gym Rat, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great price and good quality shoe. Except that it is way too narrow. I am not a picky shoe guy but I have never had a shoe that was too narrow so this is a first. If you get this make sure you have narrow feet especially the front.
The best shoe for pronators By Haha from Ohio on 01/13/2009 Pros: Arch Support, Breathable, Comfortable/No Break-In, Dries Quickly, Durable, Great Traction, Shock-Absorbent, Stabilizes Foot Describe Yourself: Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: This and the Montrail Hardrocks are the best motion control shoe I have ever used. If they are sized correctly they feel as if they are locked on to your feet. Lots of arch support. My experience has been to buy them one half size larger than your normal shoe size.
By Grand Canyon Junkie from AZ on 11/17/2008 Cons: Hot spots developed, Not Comfortable, Ordered one size larger, Poor fitting Too tight, Was too tight all areas Describe Yourself: Heavy hiker, Recreational Walker/Hiker Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: Just a bad fit. Shoe may work for others. Returned
Ran a full size too small By d from Illinois on 11/07/2008 Bottom Line: No, I would not recommend this to a friend Comments: They seemed like great shoes, but if they run a full size too small how can you buy them online? I was very disappointed.
Light and fast, but some sore spots By Hiker Chick from Sacramento, CA on 09/13/2008 Pros: Stable, Sturdy and durable Cons: Left instep too high, Mesh lets dirt in, Not Water Resistant Best Uses: Day hikes, Overnighters Describe Yourself: Outdoor Professional Sizing: Feels half size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Great, lightweight boot. I used them to hike 30 miles in two days (lots of elevation gain) and they were comfortable except for the instep of the left boot (too high). The boots have mesh which keeps feet cool, but also allows dirt to come in. I kept dumping them out on breaks. Much more comfortable than my heavy boots.
Light, yet stiff and supportive By DishSoap from Mountain View, CA on 08/26/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable, Water Resistant Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I used these instead of my more substantial all-leather, goretex boots on a recent trip to the Rockys (~11 miles). They were fabulous. I had worn them only one day to break them in before the trip but they were heaven on my feet. I am now converted to light-weight boots when possible. I found them to be reasonably water-resistant for their mesh design. The openness lets some dust in but it was no big deal. The most surprising thing about the boots, however, was that despite how light they are, they provide plenty of stiffness in the sole and all-around support. A great buy!
By Hikeman Kane from Shrewsbury, PA on 08/19/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable Best Uses: Day hikes, Everyday Describe Yourself: Casual/ Recreational Sizing: Feels true to size Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: Shoe is very versatile. Can be used for many different activities.
Great shoes if you can find your size By Rusty from Vancouver,WA on 08/09/2008 Pros: Comfortable, Durable, Great Traction, Non-slip sole, Stable Best Uses: Backcountry, Day hikes Describe Yourself: Avid Adventurer Sizing: Feels full size too small Width: Feels true to width Bottom Line: Yes, I would recommend this to a friend Comments: I wear these on extended day hikes in all terrain. They work fine. You need to figure out the sizing. Based on reviews I purchased 2 sizes and returned the ones 1/2 size larger in favor of the ones listed as 1 whole size larger. I checked the foot beds and don't believe the ones 1 size larger actually are, but they fit nicely.
